Emily Hespeler

Program Director

Vicki is certified in Silver Sneakers Training and ASFA Senior Fitness Association. To stay active, she likes to go to Health Trax and participate in their group classes. After a health scare, where lots of numbers were too high or too low, she's committed to healthy eating and exercise habits. She loves to teach for Beat PD Today because she is inspired daily by her clients.

Michelle was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease almost 14 years ago. Today, Michelle is training trainers for her program locally and around the country and growing her program to help as many people as possible. She says that Parkinson’s Disease has given her the opportunity to speak publicly and become more confident in herself. Her favorite foods, that she does not advise to anyone else, are Oreo cookies and powdered donuts. Click here to read more about her journey with PD.

Emily joined the Beat Parkinson's Today Team this August. They were previously a Nutrition Educator at BronxWorks. At BronxWorks Emily enjoyed hearing participants stories and motivating them to reach their health goals. Emily loves to run, play soccer, and do anything active or in nature. After 3 years at BronxWorks, they are excited to mix their love of people and physical activity, to work at Beat Parkinson's Today, while getting a masters degree in Therapeutic Recreation from SUNY Cortland.

Jen's favorite moment in her Beat PD Today classes is at the end when everyone says together, ”Beat PD Today!”  When she's not an instructor, she's trying to improve her Italian language skills by watching Italian T.V.  and using her green thumb in her garden.

Sarah is a firm believer in the connection between physical and mental health. When Sarah is not working out with her Beat PD clients, she is the Communications Director at a health and wellness company. Fun fact, Sarah’s first job after college was at Merriam-Webster (the dictionary). She is Ace-certified personal trainer with advanced certification in senior fitness and sports nutrition

Terry, lives in Guilford, CT and brings a lifetime of experiences and training to her Beat PD Today classes. The concept of digging deep and becoming stronger and better has always been exciting for her, both as an individual and as a coach. She has rode a bicycle cross country, sailed across the Atlantic Ocean, worked for Outward Bound, and ran multiple marathons. She is a certified personal trainer, NASM, Nutrition Coach, Precision Nutrition, Outward Bound Instructor, and holds a BS in Food Science and Nutrition.
