PAST EVENTS

Our community of over 200 people came together in Wilmington, NC for our first ever Beat It 5k & 1-mile race to support Parkinson's. The energy was high, and the crowd was filled with laughter and connection. We had some wonderful sponsors such as Novant Health, Burn Bootcamp, and Brunches Restaurant where runners gathered to celebrate crossing the finish line. To us, this was more than just a race. It was our mission in action, showing people that exercise is our medicine, and one of the most important ways that we can fight back against PD.

Beat It 5k/1-mile Race

Exercise is our medicine. Let's run or walk for PD!

Our 2025 Beat PD Symposium was a huge success, and we couldn't have done it without you! A heartfelt thank you to all the attendees, vendors, and presenters who showed up with energy, enthusiasm, and support. We hope you left feeling empowered, engaged, and still reminding yourself, "I'm a baddie!"
Together, we Beat PD Today.

NC Symposium

Senior Wellness & Parkinson's Health Symposium

This Giving Tuesday, the organization is rallying support to Fuel the Fight against Parkinson’s disease. Every contribution directly powers an evidence-based exercise program and a groundbreaking research partnership with Yale University, which is demonstrating how movement can slow the progression of Parkinson’s. Donations help expand classes, strengthen community programs, and bring life-changing resources to hundreds of people living with Parkinson’s. Together, supporters can drive meaningful progress—fueling research, movement, and hope one gift at a time.

There are several ways to get involved. Donations fund cutting-edge Yale research and help grow the reach of their proven exercise programs, building on last year’s successful $25,000 Giving Tuesday campaign. Supporters can also join a free webinar on November 20th to learn directly from Yale researchers about the science behind exercise and Parkinson’s. For those who want to take an active role, opportunities are available to volunteer, join the board, or contribute as ongoing donors. The organization extends heartfelt gratitude to last year’s supporters and invites everyone to stand with them again as they continue this powerful mission.
